VIGAN - The Spanish Heritage Village
FACTS (here)
(Ilocano: Cuidad ti Bigan; Tagalog: Lungsod ng Vigan)
Vigan is a UNESCO World Heritga Site in that it is one of the fe Hispanic towns left in the Philippines where its structures remained intact, and is well known for its cobblestone streets and a unique architecture that fuses Philippines ans Oriental building designs and construction.
Vigan City was officially recognized as one of the New7Wonders Cities in the world.
Our Story:
My Dad survived the 9 hours driving from Cavite to Vigan without any fuss ^_~ We believe that he is a living navigator and superman! (winks).
It was 2014 before the city was included in the voting oriented "New 7 Wonders Cities, we were able to explore Vigan for our random and "Family List to Explore". Although the travel is indeed serious and outwearing, the sacrifice is really worth the wait.
We did not stay here for longer hours, we got to roam around for 1 hour and explore the house that holds so many stories about the sixth President of the our country - Elpidio Quirino.Eat delicious and remarkable food.
Our next destination..... Baluarte Zoo
