Kapurpurawan Rock Formation
The pride and jewel of Ilocos,
the unbelievably stunning rock formations that was amazingly formed over the
period of time, thousands or even million years ago by gathering of particles
deposited to the shore by the forces of sea waves and wind with the support of
gravity and time, or as far as I remember this is the method in Science called
Sedimentation.
Kapurpurwan Rock Formation is
indeed one of the most startling masterpieces of nature. It was adroitly formed
through the art of nature, stunning yet totally flimsy. According to our
groundskeeper during our brief orientation, we need to limit ourselves in
touching or stepping into the stones mainly because majority of them is still
alive or still forming into an extra ordinary contour.
FACT: Kapurpurawan derives from
Ilocano word of “puraw” which means WHITE. Obviously because of its oddly
stones color especially on far-reaching daylight when sun touches its stunning
sculpture, it’s more like a stone pearl, really crystallizing.
You should never miss visiting
Kapurpurawan or even neighboring amazing places in Ilocos. After all, you can spontaneously
experience all of them in just a day.
