It is a geological formation in the province of Bohol. They are covered in green grass that turns brown (like chocolate) during dry season. Bohol province have been declared the country's third National Geologival Monument and proposed for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage list.
Last year sometime in October, Bohol lay in ruins after a magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck the Visayas region. One of the those reportedly damaged was the leaning tower and the viewing deck of the famed Chocolate Hills in Carmen, Bohol.

Even some part of Chocolate hills themselves collapsed and damaged.

However despite of all the damages of nature have caused them, Bohol remains bullish with its plans to get the island province back up running in no time. May the blessing of our Lord be with them all the time.
